Attempting a book trailer...

I've been playing around with this movie maker trying to come up with a decent book trailer. If you have a minute (literally, it's only about a minute long) check it out and give me some feedback or suggestions. All comments are welcome, I'm new to this whole movie-making thing...

To watch it, click H E R E. (I can't seem to get it to upload directly into the blog post...)

  1. Loved it! What did you use to make it? How easy was it to do?

  2. I used the Windows Movie Maker that was already on my computer. If you don't already have it, you can download it free at microsoft.com and there are tons of instructional videos on youtube.

As far as ease, I started playing around with the program about a week ago and learning how it all worked. Once I sat down to actually make a video, it only took me about 30 minutes. Of course it helped that I already had tons of images I had made as visual aides in the past, and finding music that you can use without paying royalties is very easy.

  3. I loved it, very visual… and worked with the music well. There was two parts when I couldn’t finish reading what was on the screen, it just popped up and vanished to quickly for me. I am an average reader (I think) so you might rethink the timing some of those.
But I am very impressed, and it made we want to read you book—nice work!!

  4. Thanks Jeff. That timing thing still has me bewildered. It's hard to try to keep it with the music and let it linger long enough to read. For now, I'm relying on being able to rewind and pause it, but I will be working on trying to get that all worked out. I really do appreciate you all taking the time to look at it and let me know what you thought.
